Our Story

A house, before a brand.

Raw Kashmir began the way most quiet things do — around a low copper table, with tea too hot to drink, and a promise to do things the long way.

The People

Seven families. One valley.

Our grandfather planted walnut saplings the year the valley was too cold for anything else. Sixty-two years later, we still pick them by hand. What began as a single grove is now a small circle of partner families — farmers we have known our entire lives, in villages we return to every season.

  1. 1962

Grandfather plants the first walnut grove in Kupwara.

  2. 1998

Family expands to saffron cultivation in Pampore.

  3. 2021

Raw Kashmir is founded to bring the harvest to the world.

  4. Today

Seven partner families. One quiet promise.

“We would rather have one honest almond than a thousand hurried ones.”

— Ayaan, third-generation grower · Shopian

Our Values

Three quiet promises.

Slow, always

We would rather ship less than ship anything hurried. Seasons decide, we listen.

Fair, always

Our farmers set the price of their harvest. We add our margin after.

Whole, always

Nothing broken, nothing bleached, nothing coloured. Whole treasures only.
