Provenance

From the orchards of Shopian.

The Mamra variety grows only in a narrow belt of southern Kashmir, where cold nights and dry days concentrate the oil. Our trees are between forty and seventy years old.

Taste notes: Sweet, buttery, faintly floral

The Ritual

A Mamra shell is soft. Machines split the kernel. We shell by hand — slower, quieter, whole.
